Credit Officer

Our client is a steel distributor based in Cavan currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Credit Officer to join their credit team for 12 months managing the large group of accounts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Onboarding new accounts and conducting credit risk assessments
- Reconciling accounts and handling collection calls with overdue customers
- Maintaining a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
- Work collaboratively with the Finance team to implement credit policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a credit officer or similar role
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis and credit risk management
- Previous experience with credit reporting
- Sold understanding of basic accounting principles and credit practices and collection regulation
- Strong computer skills, Excellent knowledge of Excel
- A certificate III or IV in Financial Services (Credit Management)
