We are seeking am APS6 Procurement Officer with strong commonwealth procurement, stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills to join a federal government client on an initial contract to the end of June 2024, with the option to extend for a further 12-months.

In this role you will support the Assistant Director to deliver a range of financial and procurement activities. You will be responsible for providing financial and procurement advice, undertaking financial management activities, assisting teams with their procurement and contracting needs, and building productive working relationships with stakeholders.

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and multiple levels
- Sound knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks and best practice with regards to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Strong digital literacy awareness and confidence in the use of digital tools to solve problems, be productive, and collaborate with others in a digital environment
- The ability to perform, adjust and excel in a high-performing team and fast-paced and high-profile environment
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, and an ability to communicate complex and technical concepts succinctly
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative with resilience, and ability to manage competing and changing priorities while contributing to a positive work environment
- Formal qualifications and/or experience with legislative and governance frameworks and best practice with regards to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules

This role can be based in either Melbourne or Canberra, with hybrid working options available.

You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a baseline security clearance to be considered for this opportunity.
