Our client, a large QLD Government department, is seeking to engage an experienced Technical/Systems Business Analyst to assist in the delivery and development of a new Data and Analytics Platform (DAP) that will significantly advance the department's ability to be a data-lead organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage data analysis and profiling activities to understand source system data and its implications for data vault and pipeline design to migrate data into the warehouse
- Play an active role in the development of Business Information Model, source system and target system data models
- Lead and manage software requirements definition and decomposition activities within a large agile ICT program/project environment
- Lead and ensure requirements gathering, modelling and stakeholder management activities comply with approved standards, methods, tools and notation
- Provide strategic and operational advice regarding program/project direction for analysis activities specifically related to software requirements, requirements elicitation, data modelling and use case development
- Lead the development of business requirements (Epics, Features) and software requirements specifications (predominantly User Stories and other notations e.g. ERD, BPMN, UML) for IM/ICT projects, ensuring traceability of requirements and dependency mapping throughout the program lifecycle
- Provide a support and mentoring role for business analysts within the program/project(s) and the organization on the interaction between business process and technical software requirements
- Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, facilitates effective communications and fosters relationships across the program/projects
- Help create an innovative, creative and fun team culture, capable of developing advanced technologies.

**Highly regarded**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering
- Agile BA certification (AgileBA, AAC)
- BA / requirement management certification (CBAP, CPRE, PBA)
- Agile and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification
- Certification, experience or knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 methodology
- Experience in large scale data migration project
- Experience in data reconciliation and validation, ideally in a Data Vault 2.0 based data warehouse.
- Experience with data profiling tools and data testing tools such as Querysurge, dbt, dbtvault etc
- Knowledge of or exposure to Azure data resources such as SQL Managed Instance, Azure Storage, Functions and Azure Synapse Link, Purview, Synapse Workspace
- Experience with Dynamics 365 data
