In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Assist in the collection, analysis, and collation of GIS data
- Work with key stakeholders to assist in determining requirements for creating custom maps, spatial datasets for maintaining an efficient spatial information service
- Work collaboratively with the GIS Analyst to assist with the rollout of an Enterprise GIS portal
- Ensure data within the system is compliant and accurate through regular quality reviews/implementation of quality controls
- Generate GIS reports and products

To be successful in this role, we will need you to have:

- A degree in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), or relevant discipline
- Proficient in the use of the Esri ArcGIS software suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Enterprise). ensuring effective utilisation of GIS tools for data management, analysis, and visualisation
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports and cartographic outputs to meet project objectives, effectively communicating complex spatial information to a diverse audience
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks i.e., data capture/digitising.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines and manage multiple requests and stakeholders in a dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability, initiative resilience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality spatial information services.
- A current satisfactory National Police Clearance is required and renewed as per Renewal SA’s policy.
