We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Renewable Energy Development Manager to drive the prospecting and project-development to support our expanding portfolio of onshore wind developments in Australia

As Development Manager, you will be responsible for accelerating the expanding number of opportunities within wind development projects.

**About the role, key deliverables and responsibilities**:

- Drive projects from mid-stage development to FID including planning and environmental, resource assessment, grid connection, and design and procurement activities, in conjunction with other members.
- Development and implementation of detailed delivery strategies, budgets, and risk matrix to successfully navigate project delivery.
- Key interface with partners and other external stakeholders throughout the project development phase.
- Assessment of utility-scale renewable generation opportunities, with a particular focus on wind, including conducting due diligence on potential targets and business case preparation.
- Manage primary and secondary consents, ensuring project approvals reflect optimal outcomes in design and flexibility.
- Manage and foster landholder relationships and local community engagement.
- Contract with and manage external consultants as required for planning, grid connection studies and other key development disciplines to guide projects to FID.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of the Australian renewable energy landscape.

**About you, skills and experience required**:

- Relevant academic qualification (e.g. engineering, finance, environmental, planning, etc.)
- Experience in wind farm development or a related field such as wind engineering, statutory planning, and environmental planning.
- Hands-on experience in wind project delivery, including securing planning and environmental approvals and managing relationships with key project stakeholders (including landowners.)
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, risk assessments and multiple stakeholders.
- Understanding of and experience in the Australian energy market.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
- Strong drive and ambition to lead renewables growth and contribute to the Australian energy transition.
- Willingness and flexibility regarding travel to project sites.
