Join our team of intelligent and collaborative Changemakers and make your mark on tomorrow We are offering a casual or a fixed-term six (6) month contract to a Water Management Systems Lead to be based in our Perth office. There will be a requirement to be on site (FIFO) for this role a week every month until the contract ends.

Our Mining team helps clients optimise performance, boost profitability, and operate responsibly. We have a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry and current issues including decarbonisation and understand future ready strategies are critical to countering these issues, capitalising on opportunities, and adding value to businesses.

**Term**:

- Six months full time (casual or a fixed-term contract)
- Ideally Perth based, with regular site visits (at least a week per month).
- 2 hour flight to site available direct from Perth

**What you’ll do**:

- Advising on the design of the water management infrastructure for the Havieron mine site.
- Maintaining the water balance forecasts for the mine site.
- Liaising with an existing team of technical experts in hydrogeology, mining, construction, environment and approvals to ensure assumptions behind the water management system are up-to-date and valid.
- Reviewing and implementing a monitoring system for collection of data to validate water balance assumptions.
- Establishing procedures and governance processes to ensure proper implementation and compliance with water management plan.

**About you**:

- Have a relevant bachelors degree
- Strong understanding of hydrogeology and hydrology.
- Prior experience in operating water management infrastructure, including evaporation ponds, evaporators, underground sump and pumping systems.
- Understanding of evaporation ponds including impacts of climate, lake effect and salinity.
- Prior experience operating in the WA Pilbara environment or similar.
- Ability to bring information together from various departments and define a clear path forward, with risks and benefits well defined.
