An additional Clinical Facilitator position within the operating theatre department has become available to support our expanding surgical services. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Education Team. Fulltime or part time opportunities available.

Brisbane Private Hospital is renowned as a leading provider of world class orthopaedic services, and we’re expanding Currently with 15 operating theatres, in early 2024 we will open 2 new, additional state-of-the-art orthopaedic operating theatres. We are a specialist surgical orthopaedic and neuro-spine hospital with additional surgical specialities that include ENT, plastics and reconstructive surgery, gynae, general, maxillo-facial/oral and urology.

Our 181 bed private hospital is conveniently located at the top of the Wickham Terrace, Brisbane’s busiest medical precinct, in the heart of the CBD. We’re close to public transport, have our own onsite end of trip bike facilities, provide nearby discounted staff parking and with a newly refurbished staff cafeteria including an outdoor dining area and access to chef prepared meals at discounted prices, it’s a great place to work.

**We are looking for **passionate, dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative Education Team. Working collaboratively with the Perioperative Nurse Educator, the Perioperative Education Team works together to provide education activities, initiatives and clinical support to our staff, learners/novices and graduate nurses to enable staff to provide high quality, evidence-based patient care.

**About the role**
- Deliver high quality department orientation to new staff and undergraduate nursing students
- Provide clinical education support to new staff, upskilling staff, novices, graduates and undergraduate nursing students
- Work alongside staff requiring additional clinical/educational support
- Deliver face-to-face education sessions
- Conduct mandatory training and skills assessments and support staff to complete these
- Provide high standard of evidence-based patient care
- Disseminate and promote best practice and national standards.

**Essential Criteria**
- Current and unrestricted nursing registration with AHPRA
- Registered nurse with at least 5 years post registration experience, of which 3 years must be in one of these areas - scrub scout, anaesthetics or PACU/recovery
- Proven experience as a preceptor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, proactive attitude, motivated, customer focused
- Professional role model at all times with a commitment to evidence-based practice
- Knowledgeable of ACORN Standards, ANZCA Standards and Position Statements and NSQHS Standards as applied to perioperative services.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience in skills assessment
- Experience as a facilitator or providing clinical education/teaching, or experience in a clinical leadership role
- Post Graduate Certificate in your specialty area (or working towards)
- Post Graduate Certificate in education, or Certificate IV Training and Assessment (or working towards)

**Remuneration**: If you are successful for this role, you will receive a salary based on the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope -Queensland
- Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 (salaries range between $53.44- $57.18/hr for Registered Nurse Grade 2)
