**The Role**
Make a difference in our community

The Maintenance and Operations Department plays a key role in maintaining our streetscape amenity and shaping liveable neighbourhoods. As a member of our Rural Works team, the Plant Operator Rural Maintenance role contributes to the cleanliness and general appearance of Council’s roads, car parks, shopping centres, parks and associated infrastructure through grading, mowing, asphalt, drainage, signage, herbicide, concrete, sweeping and litter collection.

**About you**
Ideally you will have experience in the maintenance of council assets, i.e roads, roadsides, drainage, footpaths, and operation of relevant plant and equipment. You will also have a strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety requirements, vehicle maintenance responsibilities, have good oral communication skills and a proven ability to work under mínimal supervision in a team environment. Experience in the use of computers and/or an iPad would be advantageous.
