An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Consultant to join ServiceStream in multiple locations.
About the Role

ServiceStream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Planning Consultant to join our growing company.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Flexible Location

Reporting Line: Regional Program Manager - National Planning Manager

Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for:

- Preparation of environmental planning briefs and advice.
- Providing guidance and support to complex site issues.
- Providing guidance, support, and mentoring to other town planners.
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the health and safety issues and risks associated with the mobile telecommunications industry and be able to effectively liaise with stakeholders and the community in this regard.
- Understand the processes relating to other project segments including tenure agreements, site design and site construction.
- Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of all relevant Commonwealth, State and Territory Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice and procedures.
- Adopt a proactive and responsive customer service attitude and maintain good working relationships with clients, sub-consultants, Council’s, Commonwealth and State Government agencies and other Carrier representatives.
- Maximise revenue whilst maintaining cost and complying with contractual, physical, procedural and legal constraints.
- Ensure project milestones are reached within time and budget restraints and follow necessary procedures to articulate any issues affecting the achievement of project objectives.
- Preparation of Development Applications and Deployment Code Documentation.
- Consult and engage with the Community Relations Manager with reference to community engagement.
- Manage stakeholder enquiries and complaints in collaboration with external stakeholders and community relations managers. Document all stakeholder submissions and relevant correspondence in Site Tracker.

About You
- Experience in a government agency, local government or consulting environment.
- Advanced knowledge of general Microsoft Applications.
- Ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
- Strong analysis skills and the ability to provide clear conclusions and recommendations on complex issues.
- Strong work ethic and a disciplined approach.
- An interest in communications and information technology.
