**Job Summary**: Join the ConocoPhillips Australia Finance team in the position of Taxation Advisor.

ConocoPhillips’ Australian headquarters are located in Brisbane. Our focus is supplying Australian customers with natural gas and international customers with liquefied natural gas. We do this through our 47.5 percent interest in the Australia Pacific LNG joint venture, one of the largest producers of natural gas in eastern Australia. ConocoPhillips Australia also operates the Australia Pacific LNG liquefied natural gas facility near Gladstone. We are also an exploration company, with exploration activity occurring in the Otway Basin to identify natural gas reserves for supply to Australian customers.

In this key role, the **Taxation Advisor** will be responsible for supporting the Tax Manager with specific work portfolios which cover both income tax and indirect taxes. The **Taxation Advisor** will proactively contribute to the delivery of high-quality tax-related compliance and advisory services to ConocoPhillips’ Australia Business Unit and other stakeholders as necessary and have the opportunity to elevate their technical tax knowledge and commercial acumen.

The **Taxation Advisor** will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Preparation of income tax returns
- GST reporting
- Preparation of annual FBT returns
- Tax effect accounting calculations (US GAAP and IFRS)
- Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts
- Manage transfer pricing documentation and processes for Australia
- Maintaining a high standard of internal control
- Business partnering with key stakeholders from across the group and externally

You will also bring to the role:

- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards this
- Minimum five years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax policies, laws and regulations
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- Holistic mindset to consistently drive improvements and identify potential gaps
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Cultural alignment with ConocoPhillips SPIRIT Values
