**About the Role**
Reporting to the Managing Director in this new role, you will spearhead the brand and marketing operation for Savers Australia driving the development, implementation, communication and evaluation of Savers Australia marketing, brand and communications agenda. You will deliver a coherent brand strategy that speaks to the Australian market, delivering on our growth strategy which sees us launch into new markets.
A typical day might include:
- Meeting with our agency partners to review the social media communication strategy on an upcoming new store launch
- Providing expert advice to the people and culture team on the communication and marketing of our employee value proposition
- Coaching and supporting your team to develop a new seasonal campaign
- Working with senior executives to develop their LinkedIn presence, positioning them as thought leaders within the thrift and retail space
- Proudly embracing our purpose to Champion Reuse
- Sharing the Savers story
- Supporting our safety culture
**About You**
To ensure you can hit the ground running, you will have a mix of the following:
- A degree in marketing, communications, public relations and equivalent experience
- Significant experience in retail/hospitality brand management, public relations, communications or a related field. You are a trusted advisor who is known for their expertise in all things marketing, communications, branding and stakeholder relations
- You take ownership of everything you do, with a strong sense of accountability - after all, when it comes the marketing and brand function, the buck stops with you
- A relationship builder
- whether its negotiating terms with a vendor, liaising with the media or relationship management with influencers, it is all about getting the right outcome for all stakeholders
- A storyteller - you know how to build and deliver a content strategy that tells the Savers story to our audience
- Peripheral vision - you are always on the look out for what’s coming, the expected but also the unexpected. You can respond quickly with a plan and execute.
