**First Aid** at
**Cherry Creek Youth Justice Center?**

The Gordon is seeking a Teacher in First Aid, responsible for the delivery of accredited First Aid courses within the Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre. The Teacher will be responsible for all aspects of teaching, assessment, and course level compliance for the short courses.

Flexibility in delivery is a key aspect of the role as our environment is fluid and dynamic, in response to student needs. Scope to innovate whilst delivering a quality experience is the cornerstone of our work.

Training is to be offered over 6 days per week and this role will focus on Saturday delivery. Availability and commitment to teach weekends and school holiday periods are essential.

The education program is new to the Youth Justice system and is hoped to provide a framework for best practice education as part of offender rehabilitation.

**Skills & attributes for success in this role**:

- Successful completion of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122 or equivalent) or higher vocational education and training qualification
- Accredited qualification in HLTAID004 - Provide emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

**Hourly rate**:
Casual Teacher L1 (AQF4) $82.01 p/h

Casual Teacher L2 (AQF5) $85.23 p/h

Casual Teacher L3 (AQF6+) $88.60 p/h
