**About the role**

The Surveillance Analysis & Investigation Unit provides tremendous value to the business by leveraging Surveillance technologies, resources, and business intelligence tools to deliver exceptional insights, solutions, and support. The Surveillance Analyst reports directly to the Surveillance Analytics & Investigations Manager and is responsible for conducting comprehensive checks and balances across a wide range of business activities. The role delivers timely reports, analysis and business intelligence, providing insight, warning and opportunity to key decision makers charged with protecting & operating the business.

Key responsibilities include:

- Monitor and report on both patrons and team members who have been deemed as possible risks to the business due to possible questionable work practices or external influences
- Develop appropriate analytical and reporting tools or systems to assist operations proactively identify potential threats that may have a negative impact on the organisation
- Collaborate with internal technology systems stakeholders and contribute to testing, functionality, and robustness of critical systems infrastructure
- Extend Surveillance and data analytics capabilities to service the project requirements of external departments
- Assisting in the optimisation of casino products and services via data analytics and data validation.
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality
- Evaluate new industry technology, innovations or methods as appropriate, providing assessment and recommendations where required
- Communicate and implement policies and procedures to all team members ensuring operation and quality service standards are maintained
- Develop profiles of major high-end players enabling senior management to make informed decisions on exposure levels.
- Assist the Investigations Department as required to monitor and review persons of interest to the business or law enforcement agencies.
- Liaise with key personnel to ensure casino operations are conducted in accordance with the highest standards of gaming integrity

**About you**

The Surveillance Analyst has comprehensive Casino Game Protection training and knowledge of casino scams that occur, being highly skilled in the practical operational and theoretical knowledge of how fraud occurs in a gaming environment and its detection.
- Current NSW Security Industry Licence (1E).
- 5 years’ experience in the Casino Industry with thorough understanding of all table games, rules, and procedures
- 2-5-year Surveillance operations and monitor room experience preferred
- Current or prior experience in developing an understanding of the relevant requirements for, intelligence, insights, and analysis
- Qualifications or relevant experience in relation to conducting intelligence/risk assessments, fraud investigations and/or compliance activities within the Casino industry, including, case investigation and risk assessments
- Working knowledge of Continuous Control Monitoring, data analytics using internal and external data
- Understanding of job-related systems such as Cognos Analytics, Analyst Notebook, eConnect, and Microsoft Bi
- Competent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Visio
- Knowledge of Data and reporting System, Cognos, IBM TM1, Analyst notebook, eConnect
- Prior experience with data analytics and/or relevant tertiary qualifications in data/business analysis
- Understanding of casino mathematical concepts such as house edge, turnover, volatility, junket program settings, win, drop, hold percentage
