Lead the delivery of high performing team objectives by planning and monitoring targets, workload, performance and mitigating risks and issues in collaboration with Managers, Team Leaders, and team members.
- Provide expertise for complex/contentious issues and facilitate liaison between Operations and other business areas, responsible for briefing Divisional Leadership on the status of tasks, risk mitigation and issue escalation as required.
- Employ clear and succinct communication, in ways that resonate with different individuals, facilitate team goals and helps build rapport across work groups.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement that facilitates the ongoing identification, development and implementation of best practice business processes and tools required to realise efficiencies and continue to meet control measures and funding requirements.
- Lead and communicate team vision aligned to operational needs and undertake regular one-on-one discussions with team members that clearly articulate the expectations of individuals; focus on individual development and support needed; and provide immediate and constructive feedback on performance/behaviour.
- Oversee the implementation of personnel management functions, including planning, developing, and implementing programs related to equal employment opportunity and occupational health and safety. Formulate policies and plans for staff and organizational development to ensure a supportive and safe work environment.
- Facilitate Performance Development Agreement discussions and reviews with team members, setting clear expectations, addressing any performance or development issues, and ensuring ownership of both parties.
- Develop, implement and maintain a learning and development plan to build team capability to meet critical business needs and strategic objectives.
- Allocate work that enables team members to productively contribute to critical business needs, while providing opportunity to develop skills/knowledge and demonstrate ability.
- Endorse/approve assessments under relevant funding requirements and controls system, providing advice (where required) to build individual capability and ensure effective delivery of specified programs of work.
- Undertake related project and other duties of equivalent complexity as required, to align with QRA's strategic objectives and operational planning.
- This role may be required to travel within Queensland on occasion to meet with stakeholders.
- Opportunities to travel post disaster events may be required to support QRA response and recovery operations.
