Programmed are currently looking for a EHS Associate for a full-time opportunity based in Newcastle. Our client is a world leader in food and agriculture. They operate in over 70 countries and have over 55,000 employees.
As a EHS Associate some of your responsibilities include reporting to the EHS Manager and provide your expertise to ensure compliance regarding environmental, health and safety (EHS) regulations across operations
**Your duties are but not limited to**:
- Work closely with Businesses and Operations to define and review the EHS Plan against EHS needs - including escalation, maintenance and resolution of EHS issues
- Identify hazards within operations & business activities and develop action plans for significant EHS risks, hazards and opportunities.
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs and processes to reduce EHS risk in operations, contracted and outsourced services
**The successful applicants will demonstrate the following attributes /qualifications**:
- Qualifications in Operational/Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience of operating within a Environmental, Health & Safety domain
- Knowledge of agricultural, manufacturing, and/or supply chain safety processes
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills
