- About the Role- In this role you will be responsible for:
- Participating in Level 4 Management routines as a Business Partner for HSE.
- Driving continuous improvement and best practice in safety performance through ongoing engagement with site leaders.
- In-Field verification of safety systems with operational leaders while coaching leaders on quality and demonstrating expected standards.
- Participating in, and facilitating HSE investigations and providing process guidance, coaching and quality review.
- Reviewing site and industry HSE events and encouraging a strong culture of learning and embedment of safety improvements.
- Partnering with the Functional Departments in the delivery of Safety improvement initiatives, aligned to the Integrated Operations Plan.
- Participating in risk assessments and providing quality reviews.
- Supporting accurate and transparent HSE data reporting and elements of the HSE governance program.
- Providing Investigation Lead for Supervisors, Task Based Risk Management, Formal Risk Assessment and Field Leadership Quality training sessions.
- You will also provide safety support for the Risk Audit Committee and contractor executive safety days.
- About You- You will be a self-motivated professional with a solid record of accomplishment of achieving results through influence, coaching and mentoring. You will work hard, have fun, and support the team to achieve our collective goals.
- You will also have:
- A proven passion for safety and a culture of care;
- At least 5 years’ HSE experience.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Health and Safety or related field;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence at multiple levels in safety;
- Coaching and mentoring skills with a genuine desire to help people, achieve solid outcomes and support continuous improvement;
- Ability to self-motivate, manage priorities and consume data to effectivity deliver safety support.
- Strong attention to detail to support safety accountability for functional, project and operational teams.
- Experience within mining, aviation, transport, food safety, power generation and distribution, drinking water, housing and/or villages will be highly regarded.
- Location and Roster
- This is a 12-month Fixed Term position, Perth based with fly-in-fly-out travel (FIFO) from Perth to various WAIO Locations (Northern, Central and Eastern). It is on a 5:2 / 4:3 roster (3 days travel in the long week and 2 days in the short week). A conversation on flexible work options is encouraged and will be considered.**About Our Process**
