Consultant Periodontist

**The role**

A unique opportunity has presented itself for an experienced or Graduate Periodontist to join our team.

ToothSavers Dental Clinic is seeking a skilled and dedicated Periodontist to join our team. As a Periodontist at ToothSavers, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases and conditions of the gums and other structures surrounding the teeth. You will work closely with our strong and well-established hygiene department to provide comprehensive care for our patients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform thorough examinations and assessments of patients' oral health, with a focus on periodontal health.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, including non-surgical and surgical interventions as necessary.
- Perform periodontal procedures such as scaling and root planing, periodontal surgery, and dental implant placement.
- Collaborate with our hygiene department to ensure seamless coordination of care, including timely referrals and follow-ups for periodontal treatment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive measures to maintain periodontal health.
- Stay current with advancements in periodontal diagnosis and treatment through continuing education and professional development.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and staff to ensure a positive patient experience and optimal treatment outcomes.
- Participate in clinic meetings, case conferences, and professional organizations to contribute to the growth and success of ToothSavers Dental Clinic.

**What we are looking for**
- Specialist registration with AHPRA to practice Periodontics in Australia
- Proven ability to work effectively both in a team and autonomously
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- A strong belief in clinical excellence
- A keen focus on consultations to determine the best treatment plans

**Job Types**: Contract, Locum

Pay: $125,459.70 - $239,159.92 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission
