**Library Services**
The UniSQ Library provides highly regarded information services that support the University in its pursuit of excellence in learning, teaching, research and community service. Our Liaison Librarians play a key ‘front line’ role in coordinating the development and delivery of programs and services that enhance the student experience and build the information and digital literacies capacity of students, academic and professional staff.
Our Research and Education Liaison team is seeking motivated Liaison Librarians to support students to develop their competence and confidence with information and digital literacies.
Two positions are currently available:
- Full-time continuing position working with the School of Creative Arts, School of Humanities and Communication, College for First Nations, and UniSQ College, based at either the Toowoomba, Springfield or Ipswich campus; and
- Part-time fixed-term appointment working with the School of Education until 24 January 2025, based at either the Toowoomba or Springfield campus.
**What you’ll do**
As Liaison Librarian, you will be a primary point of contact for academics, students and researchers and other key stakeholders. You will design and develop online and interactive, open education resources; provide training and support that assists academics and students to effectively access and utilise scholarly information resources; and contribute to student learning, teaching and research.
Reporting directly to the Manager (Research and Education Liaison), you will:
- support a group of discipline areas within arts, communication and humanities, or education with high-quality collaboration and consultation for learning, teaching, and research.
- have an in-depth knowledge of the teaching and learning environment in higher education in Australia, demonstrating a broad understanding of emerging trends in academic libraries and higher education to position yourself as a knowledge expert in your area of discipline focus.
- build and maintain relationships and raise awareness of the Library’s services when participating in outreach activities.
- utilise your highly developed interpersonal skills, and collaborative, team-focussed approach, to adopt a scholarly, evidence-based approach to your work.
With three campuses based within the south-east Queensland, there is an expectation that you will travel between locations regularly to support the respective Schools in their academic endeavours.

Key to your success in these roles will be your ability to work collaboratively within a service-oriented team and fully embrace the challenge of renewing and evolving into a world-class academic library service. In addition, you will have:
- relevant tertiary qualifications and eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, training and presentation skills, and an ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of clients and colleagues.
- ability to work effectively in a team environment, resolve conflict and lead and participate equitably in positive and successful teams.
- ability to successfully manage a high and constant workload and achieve agreed outcomes, with the ability to initiate projects and opportunities that have the potential to improve the outcomes and performance of the work area.

**Salary**: Total full-time remuneration range $104,689 to $113,382 pa (includes salary range of $88,457 to $95,802 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
