**Job description**:
Our state government client is seeking a Technical Assistant/Technical Support Officer for a 9-month casual contract in their Belmont office.
Start: ASAP
Rate: $50-60 per hour plus Super
Hours: Full-time - 40 hours per week
Location: Belmont, WA
Duration: 9 months (approximately)
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements - casual loading included in rate)
**ROLE DESCRIPTION / JOB TITLE**
Technical Assistant, Technical Support Officer
**REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, OR EXPERIENCE**
- Technical Duties_
1.1 Undertake installation, testing and staging of electronic, data & communications equipment and systems, in the communication facilities and other fixed and mobile facilities at the facility or onsite, as instructed.
1.2 Undertake configuration of electronic equipment as instructed.
1.3 Assist with the basic construction of specialised equipment and the associated mechanical support arrangements.
1.4 Assist with the preparation of technical facilities documentation.
1.5 Contribute to the analysis and evaluation of technical issues, practices and/or procedures; to identify potential improvements for recommendation and further consideration.
1.6 Provide basic terminal technical advice and support to operational divisions.
1.7 Participate in relevant equipment-specific training as provided, the vendor or manufacturer.

1.8 Assist in the receipt, dispatch and audit of stores items, including the upkeep of associated documentation, systems and reports.
1.9 Coordinate the flow of equipment in stores facilities in-line with defined strategies, and ensure the required resources are identified, sourced and made available in timely manner.
1.10 Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of external service providers as required.
1.11 Ensure compliance with health & safety policies, procedures and processes.
- Delivery & Logistics_
1.12 Assist in developing and executing logístical plans to meet the delivery requirement for projects.
1.13 Undertake preparation and upkeep of relevant documents to meet the equipment processing and delivery.
1.14 Participate in delivery of communications equipment to relevant business areas, including undertaking basic installation and testing on site.
1.15 Consult with business areas, which will be impacted by the equipment delivery, to ensure the stakeholders’ requirements are met.
1.16 Evaluate the effectiveness of equipment and project deliveries with a view to propose potential improvements where appropriate.
1.17 Coordinate implementation of project outcomes as required or directed by the project.
1.18 Undertake responsibility to deliver minor initiative as required or directed by the project.

1.19 Understands and complies with information security policies and procedures to ensure information holdings/systems are kept confidential and utilised accurately and reliably.
1.20 Undertakes other duties as directed.
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
Possession of a current WA motor driver’s licence class “C”
Full working rights within Australia
Able to provide a clean National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months)
