**About the role**
This is a **permanent**, **full-time**, Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm position working **38 hours** per week. Located at the **Bomaderry - Works Depot**.

**Duties**
Reporting directly to the Team Supervisor - Central Construction, the focus of this position is to:

- Operate allocated plant such as, but not limited to Tractor, hydraulic Gang Mowers, Herbicide Sprayers, Ride-on Mowers, Truck, Water Tankers, hand tools and machines such as but not limited to mowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, pumps, brush cutters, herbicide spraying equipment, etc.
- Undertake a variety of tasks such as landscaping installation/maintenance works, hand digging, mowing operations, tree pruning, park maintenance, cleaning, irrigation systems maintenance and installation with the ability to work on above ground platforms and ladders, fencing, traffic control for various parks works.
- May be required to prepare correspondence and written reports.
- Read and understand plans.
- Undertake and provide on-the-job training.
- Achieve high technical quality work unsupervised either individually or in a team environment on a range of projects.
- Responsible for conducting duties in accordance with Council’s Safety Policy and related safe work practice procedures.

**Skills & Experience**
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

- Trade Certificate Horticulture / Arboriculture or equivalent qualification.
- NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence or equivalent licence valid in NSW.
- Current NSW General Construction induction card (white card) or accepted interstate alternative.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)

Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.
