**About the opportunity**

We have 2 permanent, full-time opportunities for motivated Building Surveyors with good customer service skills to join our highly customer-focused team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a skilled and efficient team in one of the fastest-growing local government areas in Australia.

We are looking for Building Surveyors with proven knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993, Building Code of Australia (and other related legislation) and experience in development assessment, certification and inspections.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Diploma in Building Surveying or equivalent
- Significant experience (minimum of 5 years preferred) in all facets of building surveying
- Current class C driver's licence.

**Desirable**:

- Registered as a building surveyor with NSW Fair Trading.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,796.10 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Leaseback vehicle
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
