**Your new role**:
We have an exciting full time, permanent leadership opportunity for an Arts and Cultural Services professional to join the Active and Creative Communities team at Knox.

The Coordinator is responsible for the effective management of Council’s Arts and Cultural Services, leading a strategic approach to planning, delivery and evaluation of related strategies, policies, services, projects, events and venues.

Leading a diverse team across multiple venues within three key service streams comprising Creative Placemaking, Festivals and Events, and Cultural Venues, the role will manage a professional team proficient in developing innovative, safe, collaborative and customer focused arts and cultural services.

The position plays a central role in the leadership team of Active and Creative Communities and contributes to the leadership of the Connected Communities Directorate.

This is a Band 8 classified role, remuneration will be $122,052.72 to $137,037.50 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

**What you will need to thrive**:

- Extensive experience and proven success in the management of arts and cultural services, including event management, project management, venue management, contract management, policy development, creative programming and audience development.
- Well-developed and a high level of conceptual and analytic skills, including the ability to consult with all stakeholders and the ability to prepare and present options, recommendations and reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to liaise widely with community, tempering its desires with practical solutions.
- Evidence of creative and innovative problem solving.
- Proven administration and financial management skills, including experience and ability to manage contracts and to prepare and review budgets.
- Proven experience with leadership and management of staff, consultants and contractors.
- Tertiary qualifications in Arts Management, Cultural Development or related discipline.
