ADE Consulting Group offers high calibre environmental consultants, occupational hygienists and geotechnical engineers alongside NATA lab services to an ever expanding Client base.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Building Inspector - HBM Specialist to join our Health & Safety Services (HSS) department.
**Your responsibilities would include**:
- Asbestos hygiene works inclusive of assessments, monitoring, clearances, building HAZMAT inspections and some earthworks
- Ensure understanding of ADE WHS, Asbestos and Pb Awareness, and the department's hygiene related SOPs through reading, site exposure and CPD plan
- Control and Exposure monitoring
- Establishing - Managing Asb Labs
- Maintaining and saving clear project and field notes and expect the same; progress to project records, such as variations, project audits and timely invoicing
- Well written reports and adept at navigating evolving technologies enabling reporting from site
- Securing repeat and lucrative business through in-project Client care and offering innovative solutions
- Ensuring full communication with ADE Subject Matter Experts and engagement with Reviewer/Project Director for QA support
- Liaising with HSS Coordinator and Business Unit Manager for resources and Projects Reporting
**Skills and Experience (Criteria)**:
- Minimum 4 years' Asbestos Hygiene and HAZMATs projects and consultancy experience from quotes to project closure
- ASB Lab Count and ID experience; ideally in the establishment of NATA certification
- Current PTA for ASB Count, ASB ID
- Eligible for NSW LAA licence, ACT (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a high attention to detail
- White card; WAH; EWP; Confined Space (preferred)
- Working with Vulnerable People / Children, ACT
- Proficiency in asbestos-impacted soil sampling for Waste Classification, if needed (preferred)
- Air quality, mould, noise & vibration monitoring and Risk Assessment experience (desirable)
- Competence in some Occupational Hygiene areas and completed Principles of Occupational Hygiene Course
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment serving multiple clients
- Hold a current/valid and clean Australian driver's licence
- Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia (required)
