The role
We have an opportunity for a smart, driven and ambitious lawyer to join our back-end Major Projects and Construction team located in Melbourne on a full-time basis.
You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and contribute to a market recognised, high performing practice. We act on government infrastructure procurement and a range of private sector projects across Australia, particularly in the energy and transport sectors. In addition to running complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution, our back-end team works closely with the front-end of the practice to support our clients on project delivery and contract management issues.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2-5 PQE with strong contract interpretation and dispute resolution experience
- A drive to provide outstanding service with attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ambition and a proactive approach to your work, be resilient and a self-starter
- The ability to interact confidently with our clients and build meaningful relationships
- The desire to work as part of close-knit, collaborative and high-performing team
In our Major Projects and Construction practice, you will:
- Be part of a team and community at the forefront of development of construction law in Australia
- Partners with collaborative and supportive leadership styles, with a genuine understanding of flexibility and how to balance high performance with a down-to-earth and pragmatic approach to work and life.
- The ability to learn from leaders in the industry, working on some of the largest and most high-profile projects and procurements in the country
- The opportunity to challenge yourself with exposure to a variety of different clients and matters, across various industry sectors
