Reporting to the Manager, ICT & Infrastructure or Manager, General Good and Services the
**Procurement Officer **will be involved in strategic procurement projects and managing contracts related to high-value and high-risk procurement endeavors for the organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee medium-scale procurement activities collaboratively with key stakeholders, ensuring the comprehensive handling of risk, probity, and transparency requirements.
- Provide monitoring and guidance on compliance with financial, contract management, and procurement systems in alignment with policies, State Procurement Policy, and established procedures.
- Engage in negotiation and consultation with both internal and external stakeholders to address procurement and contract matters, identifying specific business needs and facilitating timely compliance.
- Take an active role within a capable and professional procurement team, which includes the creation and negotiation of contracts.
- Establish and nurture professional relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff, ensuring that procurement services remain adaptable to both current and future requirements.

**Applicants for this role should possess the following qualifications and skills**:

- Queensland Government Level 2 Procurement Certification or equivalent (Highly desirable).
- Government sourcing experience.
- Experience in SAP.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Methodology and/or;
- Queensland Information Technology Contracting Framework.
