Do you enjoy working in the city, the hassle of finding a parking spot, line ups at the smoko van? Then this job is not for you. If peak hour traffic, cookie cutter homes on small lots and repetitive work is your thing then don’t bother reading on.

We are a Shed Building business located south of Canberra, with a solid pipeline of work and some clear weather we are looking to grow our team. We specialise in premium quality sheds kits, taking care of site-specific designs, approvals, earthworks, concrete, construction, and some fit outs. In addition, we custom fabricate some structures for difficult sites and do some miscellaneous work. Most of our sites are rural settings, on small acreages or larger properties, our sites are based within a 300km radius to Canberra, mostly to the south.

Based out of town, we require team members who appreciate the fresh air, can problem solve, are organised with a packed lunch every day and aren’t afraid of getting their hands dirty, camp out in the open or scare off the odd cow or donkey on site. A willingness to travel for work when necessary is also required.

A competitive wage/rates are on offer and can be negotiated dependent on qualifications and experience. This position is offered either as sub-contract or employment for the right person/s. Base hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 - 3:30, but can be negotiated if part time hours preferred or overtime requested.

**skills & experience**
- Ability to show initiative.
- Able to work away from home at times.
- EWP, working at heights or truck licence beneficial but not essential.
- Basic skills on power and hand tools
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team.
- Read and interpret plans.
- Clear and concise communication

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Understand construction plans, and follow direction.
- Construction of purlin and fabricated frame sheds. (experience an advantage but not essential)
- Installing metal cladding, flashings, gutters and down pipes. (experience an advantage but not essential)
- Operating EWP's and other small machinery (experience an advantage but not essential)

**Qualifications**
- OH&S White card
- A current Driver’s License
- Any formal construction trade qualification looked at favourably but not required.

**Salary**: $24.44 - $60.00 per hour
