**Investment Associate**

**Location**:Sydney, Australia

**Reports to**:Finance and Commercial Director
- Permanent Fulltime Position
- Renewable Energy Developer
- Leader in the Energy Transition

We have partnered with a Renewable Energy Developer, at the forefront of the Australian Energy transition. They currently have wind, solar and battery energy storage projects in their pipeline. Their pipeline covers all stages of the project life cycle, from development, network connect, construction and to the operational phase.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with all financial considerations of the client’s renewable energy business, and its pipeline of solar, wind and storage sites
- Be responsible for project financial models, from higher-level early-stage project models through to detailed project finance transaction The IA will be expected to use their experience to manage, run, review and streamline the current suite of project and portfolio cash flow models
- Support offtake negotiations across the portfolio, including the preparation of RfP and tender submissions, based on conclusions derived through thorough financial analysis of the relevant client’s project sites
- Assist project acquisition, sales and other financing processes with the preparation of pitch book presentations, due diligence reports, information memorandums and / or any other required supporting documentation, incorporating insights gained after analysing investment returns via cash flow analysis of the relevant renewable energy assets
- Drive and co-ordinate the month end reporting process by maintaining the suite of financial models used by the client in its capital budgeting Assist the development managers with their project budgets and use this to model the cash management requirements of the business. Manage the composition of the monthly shareholder reporting slide deck
- Foster and utilise relationships with third party advisers and consultants throughout all the above

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years professional experience, preferably in renewable energy financial modelling, project finance, M&A, valuations or similar
- Expert at building and reviewing complex project finance models, as well as producing high-quality professional reports and
- Familiarity and commercial knowledge within transaction execution including origination, due diligence and execution of offtake, equity or debt financing contracts.
- Experience working with infrastructure assets and project finance.
- Working knowledge of VBA or other coding language is a plus
