**Job Description**:
OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified and motivated Principal Group Maintenance to support the provision of technical and strategic leadership excellence across the Global Asset Management Portfolio. Based in our Brisbane Office and reporting directly to our Global Head of Asset Management, you will drive the implementation of best-practice Asset Management systems whilst ensuring greater process alignment across our group portfolio of fixed and mobile mining assets. Your ability to establish excellent working relationships at site operations level across our global footprint of mining operations will ensure your success in this challenging and rewarding key senior strategic specialist appointment.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

- Drive implementation of new asset management business practices, frameworks and business improvement initiatives in line with our broader company change management program.
- Influence the work of a large team of employees and contractors to ensure that the plant and machinery meets operational requirements, including conformance with global regulatory and organizational health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Assist in the development and drive the implementation of tactical and strategic plans for optimizing resources and assets consistent with company short-term and long-term business needs.
- Assist in ensuring functional and broader group compliance with company HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions that safeguard the environment, protect the wellbeing of individuals and minimize broader business risk.
- Provision of senior level reporting on the performance of the function globally.
- Engage and work with General Managers to set appropriate performance objectives for asset management teams and assist operations-based managers as required to achieve annual targets.
- Advise on a portfolio of contracts and assist with the negotiation of service level agreements.
- Rreview of existing operations practices and assist with the implementation of innovation processes across the department or sub-function to ensure the required continuous improvement outcomes are delivered.
- Contribute to the further development and implementation of global company asset risk management policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a similar degree
- More than 10 years of experience in developing and implementing best practice levels of asset and maintenance management standards, systems, frameworks and structures to support business units spread across multiple global locations.
- 5 years plus experience in interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver continuous improvement objectives within budgeted expectations.
- Demonstrated experience providing guidance and training on the identification, assessment and management of risk.
- Excellent planning, analysis and reporting skills as well as the ability to effectively manage senior stakeholder expectations.
- The ability to work independently while guiding and training others on delivering projects and/or programs within desired cost, time and quality parameters.
