**Why this role matters**

The Head of Portfolio Management - UNSW Business School, has three inter-related areas of responsibility: (i) leading the development and implementation of the product strategy for short courses; (ii) overseeing knowledge management and fostering the efficient reuse of learning assets across AGSM; and, (iii) managing the technology platforms used to promote programs and manage the learning experience.

The role reports to the Director, AGSM Executive Education.

**Accountabilities**
- Develop and implement the AGSM short course program portfolio, including the design principles governing the product portfolio, and managing the annual portfolio development process.
- Ensure the AGSM short course program portfolio delivers on market requirements and is mapped to common capability frameworks.
- Implement a standard and structured approach to portfolio design to meet different sector needs and incorporate portfolio design principles to optimise pathway sales opportunities.
- Oversee the Program Sales portfolio of open enrolment programs to specify new courses, refine existing courses and retire others in support of strategic, growth and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues in AGSM award programs to seek and harness opportunities for shared course development and integration of award students with short course participants.
- Supervise the design and adoption of knowledge management best practice to catalogue learning assets and associated materials and the standards and protocols governing contextualisation and scalable re-use to meet different requirements across all business units.
- Work closely with the AGSM’s strategic partner Guroo Producer to ensure the Navigator learning platform is best practice and delivering the optimal client experience.

**Skills and Experience**
- Relevant Postgraduate qualifications in a business discipline, with extensive relevant experience or an
- equivalent level of knowledge, gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated success in planning and execution of strategy with extensive product portfolio management experience and an ability to manage complex objectives and competing priorities.
- Extensive management expertise, with demonstrated success in product development and design, preferably in a learning context.
- Experience managing a product portfolio and its ongoing development with a range of stakeholders, with a focus on innovation, experimentation and commercial success.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual and creative product development skills including demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype, market test and co-create solutions with internal and external stakeholders.
