This is a fixed-term Project Delivery Team Lead opportunity responsible for managing the delivery of large-scale accommodation capital works projects.

SSP supports the core business of departments and agencies by ensuring they receive real estate, facilities, library and car pool services that are efficient, innovative and of the highest quality.

**About the role**

This is a fixed-term Project Delivery Team Lead opportunity responsible for managing the delivery of large-scale accommodation capital works projects for the Victorian Government. This is a unique opportunity to develop a small team working toward streamlining existing Government procurement, contract management and project management processes. The key responsibilities of the role include:

- Manage the tendering process to engage consultants and head contractors required for project delivery and effective ongoing management of the resulting contracts.
- Lead a team managing multiple projects to ensure service excellence for clients and instil the highest level of project management, delivery, procurement, governance and contract management systems, policies and processes into the Project Delivery team's function.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development through coaching of best practice program and contract management frameworks and measurement of performance against broader organisational goals.
- Proactively support the Director Accommodation Delivery Management in the delivery of strategic objectives and analysis of Key Performance Indicators.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop strategies to ensure currency of project management, project delivery, governance, procurement and contract management systems, policies and processes.

**About you**

You are a dynamic leader looking for an opportunity to lead and develop processes to support the management of Government's accommodation capital works projects. You have the capability to form effective working relationships with diverse stakeholder groups to achieve significant project outcomes.

To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Demonstrated extensive experience and high proficiency in project management, governance, procurement and contract performance management from a private/public construction sector background.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in leading diverse teams to achieve outcomes including building capability, encouraging teamwork, managing change and establishing governance systems, processes and policies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse internal and external data inputs from a range of sources to produce meaningful reports, briefs and recommendations.
- Demonstrated capacity to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and clients with competing demands to achieve agreed outcomes, with a strong focus on client service delivery and in a manner that identifies opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- High level of written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate, negotiate and present in a professional manner.
- A tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, building management, construction or architecture.
