**About Your Role
Our Above Water Systems team is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team based in Garden Island. This pivotal role will see you lead a portfolio of bids and projects in the Above Water Systems business.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee a diverse team of professionals who think big and want to make it happen. You will be ready to harness your knowledge, skills and experience to support the next generation of Defence capability, while making an impact on the broader Thales organisation in general.

Key responsibilities will see you;
- Planning, organising and leading the staff assigned to the program in order to achieve business outcomes within the delegated authorities and responsibilities.
- Leading efforts in relation to strategic workforce planning and playing a central role in bid activities to support future demands within a dynamic and evolving environment
- Maintaining strong internal relationships with a variety of key stakeholders including; Bids, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, Ship Repair, Project Management and other key support functions
- Partnering with key external stakeholders across the Enterprise, acting as a key customer interface and ensuring that Thales Australia meets and exceeds agreed benchmarks in relation to both operational effectiveness and contractual performance
- Playing a pivotal leadership role in relation to Health, Safety and Environment as you ensure statutory compliance and adherence to other set processes and procedures

**How About You?**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Engineering, Project Management etc.) and proven experience in a similar program/project or contract management position, ideally within a similar environment
- Extensive contract management experience at a senior management level coupled with proven capabilities in the delivery of contractual obligations against set KPI’s and objectives
- Strong background in managing customer requirements and interacting with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders in influencing business outcomes
- Background in leading others within a similar high-risk environment and ensuring compliance in relation to Health, Safety and Environment requirements
- Those with a working knowledge and/or background in working to ASDEFCON standards will be viewed favourably, as will those with experience working within a similar Defence industry role
