The Library Technician supports the work of the CDPP Library and Research Services team by assisting with the provision of information and responding to routine research requests, locally and nationally as required. In particular, the Library Technician is responsible for the monitoring and recording of relevant legislation, routine reference requests, undertaking projects and providing assistance to the nationally dispersed team, as required.

In addition to meeting the APS 4 work level standards and Integrated Leadership System profile of the APS Level 4, under limited direction you will:

- Undertake legislation monitoring, including monitoring relevant websites and gazettes for new and amending legislation relevant to the work of the CDPP
- Catalogue and maintain legislation records on the library catalogue, including commencement and other relevant details
- Work collaboratively with Current Awareness Librarian to provide information alerts relating to changes in legislation, amendments and repeals.
- Work collaboratively with other Librarians to assist with tasks and projects relating the delivery of Library services
- Undertake activities relating to the digitisation of the Library collection
- Circulation and accession related duties
- Provide quality and timely advice to stakeholders
