**The Opportunity**

This is an in-house position with a combined wholesale investment fund and a vertically integrated property development business. Having launched in 2018, the business has experienced significant growth, and it is expected to expand rapidly in the future. The role will be assisting the in-house legal counsel and a small executive team in relation to corporate finance and commercial issues, with additional training on co-secretarial duties. **The Role**

This role is a temporary position (3-6 months) with the intention of becoming permanent/full-time as the business expands. We are eager to find someone that will grow with the business and they are happy to support the legal counsel.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

- Being the ‘right hand’ person for the In-House Legal Counsel;
- Attending zoom meetings (taking notes, and de-briefing post-meeting for action items, follow up with to-do lists and manage task allocation, reporting and follow through);
- Liaising with executive team, operations managers and team members;
- Liaise with Operations manager and document workflow (e.g. creation of legal docs and investment presentations), and template / systemise information inputs;
- Attend to due diligence & background checks on people / entities we come in contact with;
- Conduct research & analyse socio-economic data;
- Update / amend existing investor presentations (in PowerPoint, pdf and Word);
- Take charge of and template the creation of a standardised a 60-page Prospectus / offer document for investors, combining Word (narrative, font type + layout) and Creative (suitable imagery and page layouts);
- Research and advise on advertising material, marketing collateral + investor presentations / information in context of ASIC’s RG234 guidance;
- Legal research including Austlii + LPI NSW;
- Use of Slack, Outlook, Zoom, LEAP and PEXA;
- Draft + update correspondence and template commercial documents (lease, shareholders agreement, trust, NDA, call option);
- General administration, timekeeping, basic billing.

**Requirements**:

- studying or have completed studies in Law at a degree level or higher.
- studied and have work experience in Accounting / Commerce / Finance / Economics (desirable but not essential).
- a minimum 2 years of in-office paralegal experience in corporate finance / commercial law, ideally in investment funds, construction / property development business or equivalent involving real estate.
- experience reviewing and amending long and complex legal documents,
- a minimum 2 years of experience in an electronic document management systems,
- experience in creating and presenting in PowerPoint pdf/ excel face to face and across audio-visual,
- perseverance and patience,
- good inter-personal skills (visual, verbal and written) to liaise with internal staff and potential / current investors,
- report to management regularly and ad hoc,
- proficiently manage the creation of the workflow process documentation,
- a team player, willing to help others when necessary,
- strong organisational skills to manage a large number of competing + shifting priorities at a time and meet ever changing deadlines,
- accuracy and attention to detail,
- flexible, with the ability to manage change effectively.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
