**About the Role**:
The VU Careers Consultant is responsible for providing one-on-one career counselling to students, helping them navigate career choices and job opportunities. They also collaborate closely with academic staff to integrate career learning into the curriculum, ensuring that career education is a core component of students' academic experiences. The role involves designing and delivering workshops, creating resources, and fostering partnerships with industry professionals to enhance career-related learning outcomes.

**This is a full time position at an HEP 7 classification, salary range $94,526 (per annum) - $102,320 (per annum) plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week.**

An example of duties you may perform will include:

- Provide evidence based, authoritative information, advice and guidance to post-secondary students, colleagues and academic and teaching staff in the areas of graduate employability and career development learning.
- Deliver career education activities to post-secondary students in a range of contexts including 1:1 appointments, VU Careers Hub activities, small groups and in class.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of career development learning and employability projects, programs, workshops and activities requiring a high degree of specialist knowledge e.g. curriculum embedded career education, VU Careers Hub.
- Provide career counselling services to current students and recent graduates to help them develop lifelong career management skills, assisting them to make informed decisions concerning their educational and employment futures.

**About You**:
The Careers Consultant will possess a wealth of knowledge in career development learning, particularly within post-secondary education. You are adept at delivering presentation, captivating the audience. You will bring valuable experience in career counselling, equipped to guide individuals towards fulfilling professional paths. To flourish in this role, you are innovative, collaborative and work well within a team.
