We are seeking to engage an energetic **Field Inspector** with experience in civil works and a sound understanding of telecommunications networks to be part of the team driving this initiative in the WA region.- Reporting to the Area Supervisor, the primary responsibility of the **Field Inspector **- Telecommunications, is to carry out audits and checks relating to quality and compliance. This role will work closely with a team of multi-disciplined trade-based personnel with specific focus on FTTC (Fiber to the Curb) installations and construction activities. The role will operate from the Canning Vale, WA and with regular opportunities to travel across site locations in WA, as required.**Benefits**

**About the Role**
- Maintain close working relations with schedulers and project team to complete all TOW (Tickets of work) within Ventias Visonstream time frame
- Undertake field assessments / audits, verifications and provide input to development of alternative design options
- Assessing the fitness and safety of DUCTS and Pits
- Ensuring a high quality of data input integrity
- Directing rodding and roping crews in an efficient manner in order to ensure productivity of targets are achieved
- Ensure all relevant data is captured within the Design Project folders and updated in via the scheduling group
- Maintain regular communication with sub-contractors to ensure they regularly complete on site surveys
- Report on the progress of works in VPL system and escalating any potential slippages to the Construction management before they arise
- Management of all defects and complaints
- Engagement with stakeholders in relation to work order progress
- Responding to field based enquiries in relation to the survey
- Undertake minor civil tasks as required

**About You**
- Solid understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and construction processes -Telecommunication (Telstra/NBN) knowledge is preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience conducting audits in construction, civil industry or telecommunications
- Ability to read and understand Telstra and NBN plans
- Civil Background i.e. previous experience working with Directional Drills, Ploughing, Open Trenching, ACM Removal, Pit, Pipe and optic fibre installation
- Willingness and flexibility to travel across Western Australia on a FIFO / DIDO roster as well as local work when required
- Ability to obtain a clear police clearance - or provide one that is less than 12 months validity
- First Aid certificate
