The main tasks will be to implement and automate REHEL patching across the Linux fleet.
- Design, implement, and monitor Linux / Unix infrastructure, maintaining Linux / Unix systems, and develop automation strategies and deployment processes
- Confirm and secure the Linux OS
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide high level strategic advice and support on specialist Linux / Unix solutions and technologies, including the design, documentation, and provision of senior technical leadership for the architecture of specific technologies associated with Linux Systems Architecture.
- Be responsible for overseeing the Linux / Unix server farm and ensure best practice processes are in place and operational.
- Manage complex projects relevant to Linux / Unix infrastructure, technology, and services.
- Design and approve significant modifications to production services prior to implementation, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed as part of the change management procedures.
- Lead and deliver detailed technical training and assistance relating to the architecture of the Linux / Unix environment.
- Oversee and automate task for system administrator to maintain standards for the operating systems for Linux / Unix server environments.
- Support operational aspects of Security and Identity Management including Linux / Unix environment.
