What’s in it for you?

We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to support the ongoing delivery of a number of level crossing removals being delivered across Melbourne’s inner suburbs. Reporting to Alliance Community and Stakeholder Relations Manager for the Metropolitan Roads Program Alliance, you will be responsible for keeping the business and wider community engaged on what’s happening daily on our projects. You will work closely with the project and communications team to uphold the brand and reputation that made Fulton Hogan the business it is today.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Influencing and supporting our leaders to communicate effectively with their teams and in line with our business strategy, brand and values
- Providing strategic advice on best practice and creative approaches to internal communications that meet the needs and challenges of a geographically diverse workforce
- Developing content and supporting major stakeholder events - events, forums, briefings, town halls, etc
- Developing engaging and creative content for business-wide internal communications channels, including our newsletter, intranet and events
- Staying abreast of business culture, mood and what resonates with our people through stakeholder engagement, data and insights
- Collaborating with other support service teams to drive integrated communications campaigns ensuring activities such as filming, planning, event coordination etc are delivered effectively.
- Internal weekly/monthly reporting as required
- Work with the designer or provide design support as required
- Identify and contribute to improvement initiatives
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with others in the team and across the business.

How you’ll connect to the role?
- Experience in a communications focused role is essential to be successful in this role
- Experience working with construction professionals on-the-ground preferably in Infrastructure, Civil or Rail is highly desirable
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- A consistent eye for detail, especially in written communication with spelling and grammar
