The Australian Industry Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre have a fabulous opportunity to work with a Global based ASX listed company operating in South Australia.

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation who employs apprentices and trainees then places them with Host Organisations. We provide support for all apprentices and trainees by way of our mentoring program which fits in with regular visits to the workplace and TAFE.

Our host is an award-winning tourism and transport company that employs over 1100 people throughout Australia and operates across South Australia, Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia and New South Wales. They are currently recruiting for a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable person to be part of the Marine team operating ferry services to and from Kangaroo Island, South Australia.

This is a great opportunity to start your career in the Marine Industry and to receive both formal and on the job training while working towards a Certificate III Hospitality (Food & Beverage) over the duration of the 24-month Traineeship.

**A Certificate III Hospitality (Food & Beverage) Traineeship will involve**:

- Commitment to Customer and Crew safety in the Marine Environment
- Stock and stores control including ordering and wastage
- Customer service, till operation and reconciliation processes
- Reporting and communication with team members including hand over procedures
- Vessel cleanliness and presentation
- Customer service via on board cafes including assistance with complaint resolution, customer comfort and assistance
- Cleaning operations
- Assist with Mooring operations including handling of ropes, deck loading and passenger loading operations
- Delivering customer service excellence
- Achievement of the company’s CARE values

Employees of Ai Group ATC are expected at all times to uphold the values of integrity, honesty and excellence and must exhibit a strong work ethic. All employees are expected to be effective at time management, enjoy working within a team environment and possess a sincere interest for their chosen trade.

Ideally you will live near Cape Jervis or on Kangaroo Island. Incumbents will be required to work a 7 day on - 7 day off roster - Wednesday to Tuesday. This will include weekends and public holidays
