Due to rapid growth, our client is seeking an experienced Land Acquisition and Access professional to support the development of their renewable energy projects.

**About this role**
Brunel, a leading global recruitment agency, is seeking an experienced Land Acquisition and Access professional to support the development of renewable energy projects in QLD. Due to rapid growth in the renewables sector this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground level with this well-known Australian company.
- Formulating and executing land strategies for prioritized projects by utilizing an optimal blend of acquisitions, contract rights, mining, and various regulatory permits, licenses, and leases. Conducting thorough property due diligence and drafting contract documentation.
- Engaging in negotiations for land agreements and resolving access issues. Establishing positive relationships with key landholders, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with Native Title, Project Approvals, Environment, Heritage, and Project Controls teams to comprehend and document development constraints, align assumptions, and consistently refine project definition, schedule, and budget. Analysing conflicts in land use arising from mineralization risks and collaborating with FMG Exploration to formulate mitigation strategies.

**About you**:

- Qualifications in law, commerce, economics, business, or social sciences
- Extensive expertise in navigating land tenure legislation
- Proficiency in utilizing databases and systems to access GIS-related information, including tenure records, third-party agreements, and native title details
- Thorough knowledge of land tenure and titles in QLD (essential) and familiarity with other jurisdictions within Australia (desirable).
- A comprehensive understanding of the mining industry and its competitive dynamics. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Robust commercial insight and effective negotiation skills. Collaborative approach with the ability to engage positively across all levels and functions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Proactive self-starter with resilience in managing diverse workloads and handling competing priorities.
