**About the Position**:
Gel Works is seeking a person, with mechanical and general handyman experience, to assist on a casual basis, with general maintenance and repair duties and within the manufacturing environment.

The ideal person will have experience and confidence operating machinery like compressors, pneumatic filling equipment and mixing machines.

Preparing equipment to be used in bulk manufacturing, line setting, and cleaning equipment at the end of a job. This is an exceptional opportunity and position which is ideal for a part time semi-retired person who wants to work as a valued team member.

There is also opportunity to receive training in various Bulk Manufacturing Technician tasks,

**About the Person**:

- At least 2 years experience with automated machinery within the pharmaceutical, cosmetic or food manufacturing environment, and relevant trade experience,
- Mechanically minded,
- A flexible and energetic approach to ensure the job gets done right the first time,
- Excellent attention to detail,
- Good communication skills and teamwork ability,
- Forklift License desirable but not essential,
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg, as this is a manual handling position,

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Line setting experience, setup and operate various machines according to job specifications and work instructions,
- Monitor machine performances and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity,
- Perform tool changes, offsets and setups as required for different machining operations,
- Problem solving and troubleshooting where required,
- Quality control experience,
- Experience within Pharmaceutical, cosmetic or food manufacturing highly regarded,
- Factory Handyman experience,
- Demonstrated Mechanical aptitude,
- Ability to lift up to 25kg - essential - must be physically fit
- Availability and flexibility to work 3 shifts per week,
- Must have good written and spoken English,

**Pay**:$30 - $35 per hour depending on experience,

**Expected Hours**:Casual - Approx 3 days per week (negotiable),

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
