Conduct Risk is a Level 1 Risk Theme within the Non-Financial Risk Taxonomy, with 10 broad-ranging subsidiary Level 2 risks, which together complement the customer journey and market integrity. As a Manager, this role will support the Group lead overseeing the effective identification, management and global oversight of Conduct Risk at ANZ. This second line role is a key resource for all deep-risk activities and is responsible for ownership of the Level 1 Conduct Risk Framework and leading assurance activities over its effectiveness. It is also responsible for ensuring that the Level 2 risks have adequate policies, obligations and associated control objectives in place consistent with the components of the I.AM Framework.

Governance is an important part of this role. In collaboration with the Head of Conduct Risk, this role will propose the Risk Appetite associated with Conduct Risk, and help further mature how Conduct Risk is being monitored and reported in aggregate across the Group.

Critical to the success of this role is the ability to engage, challenge and work collaboratively with Business and Risk staff at all levels across the Enterprise, particularly senior stakeholders, with the aim of providing insight and advice/ guidance on the identification, management, reporting and oversight of Conduct Risk.

What will your day look like

This role is accountable for supporting the Level 1 Conduct Risk Theme Delegate, uplifting the management of Conduct Risk across the Enterprise through embedding the Conduct Risk Framework. Key responsibilities include:
Ongoing enhancement and maintenance of the Conduct Risk Framework in line with governance requirements
Providing advice and guidance to Divisions on how to implement and adhere to the Conduct Risk Framework
Oversight of compliance with the Conduct Risk Framework for all Divisions and Functions with respect to their management of Level 2 Conduct Risks (including annual completion of CPS220)
Developing and delivering meaningful risk reporting to support an aggregate view of Conduct Risk across the organisation
Identification of thematic issues associated with Level 1 and Level 2 Conduct Risks.
Oversight of the adequacy and effectiveness of management and monitoring of Level 2 Conduct Risks. This includes:
The appropriateness of the policy hierarchy and requirements to support management of the risks
The completeness and adequacy of related obligations, control objectives, and oversight of data integrity supporting management of Conduct Risk including simplification and automation opportunities.
Undertaking assurance activities over the effectiveness of the Conduct Risk Framework
Delivery of learning mechanisms to support the knowledge and understanding of Conduct Risk

Demonstrated learning agility to digest complex and large information sets to draw insights, conclusions and actions.
Understanding and alignment of strategic business needs to create sustainable solutions
Strong report writing and data analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
