AAM specialises in the collection, analysis and delivery of spatial data. We capture measurement and location data by surveying the built and natural environments from the air, ground and over water. We deliver digital solutions of the physical world. Our clients use our products and spatial data to plan, design, build and manage their assets, infrastructure and environments. This is a technical industry where innovation and technologies are constantly evolving.
**Your new role**:
The UAV Controller position will be responsible for pre-sales support, field acquisition and product generation of UAV projects across civil, construction, land development, infrastructure and mining sectors. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Review the client requirements to define the input parameters and provide advice on matters such as operational restrictions, labour estimation for field operations and product generation
- Prepare tenders, quotations, work plans and acquisition methodologies
- Plan, manage and execute projects with regular revenue forecasting, invoicing and client follow up in accordance with agreed project schedules

- Liaise and negotiate with clients within the context of individual projects, including access
- Evaluate and manage subcontractors including their capability, quality, safety and delivery performance and value for money
- Execute the survey as per work instruction
- Undertake in-field data validation and pre-processing
- Imagery: Process file imagery through to a validated model
- LiDAR: Process flight trajectory and raw data through the strip align and ground referencing process to form a homogenous surface model
**What we’re looking for**:
To be successful in this role you will already have comprehensive understanding of best practice UAV remote sensed data techniques and be thoroughly competent in the use of UAV equipment and software systems along with:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to consult with clients on a wide range of survey and spatial issues
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals
- Ability to problem solve and develop solutions to meet project requirements
- Comfortable advising and consulting to, all clients and staff across a wide range of issues
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Ability to work non-standard working hours to provide on-demand customer support

**Minimum qualifications and experience**:
- Relevant tertiary education, or TAFE Diploma in Surveying, or 3+ years of practical experience in the UAV field
