As an Access Operator, you will be accountable to develop and maintain a good understanding of (and compliance to) relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and ASD’s mission and policy requirements in order for you to perform and achieve moderately complex administrative and operational support work within an integrated workforce.

**About our Team**
ASD is entering an exciting phase of growth, innovation and transformation. Our agency has committed to delivering REDSPICE, which is the most significant single investment in the Australian Signals Directorate’s 75 years.

Access Operations branch consists of multiple operational and technical teams who consistently deliver world class outcomes for the Australian government and community to find innovative solutions to enable ASD access operations.

We work at the cutting edge of access technologies to deliver national security, support to military operations and cybersecurity outcomes. We are looking for inquisitive and curious people who can think critically, communicate with both technical and non-technical people and have a demonstrable desire to continually build their skills through learning and developing opportunities and programs as required.

The below experience and skills are desirable for an **ASD4 Access Operator **but are not mandatory:

- The ability to draw on information from diverse sources in order to determine what information is important, relevant and why.
- Experience in providing support and/or supporting Executive and Senor Executives.
- Experience in the interpretation of legislation and associated compliance with legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks to achieve business outcomes.
- A self-starter who takes the initiative to progress work to meet business objectives, including recommending solutions for issues that might impact upon the achievement of desired outcomes or more complex issues.
- Demonstrated resilience and proven capacity to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience or the ability to rapidly acquire the ability to contribute and assist in the design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of new signals intelligence systems.

- Contribute to or prepare work plans, strategies and team goals and identify broader influences that may impact on the team's work objectives.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, support, security, maintenance or enhancement of signals intelligence systems.
- Design and implement technical solutions to issues impacting on the signals intelligence function.
- An understanding and proficiency in tailoring communication styles to different audiences.
- Leadership and management of staff experience.
