This is an exciting opportunity to join our Queensland Real Estate Management Services (REMS) team and work on a commercial portfolio located in the CBD and fringe areas of Brisbane as a Facilities Manager.
This position is supported by the Director of Facilities Management QLD, with ongoing additional support from the wider QLD FM team. There is an exceptional amount of internal training available.
This position would suit someone who has previously worked in commercial office facilities management. This is an offsite role located in Brisbane CBD and the key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain building specific facilities, services, plant and equipment to ensure they achieve optimal performance and efficiencies, including Life cycle planning and overall presentation of our properties,
- Drive industry best practice by collaborating and administering a comprehensive compliance program, particularly in regard to risk management for critical and high-risk site operations
- Manage budget expenditure for our assets in collaboration with the property management team i.e., operational and capital expenditure.
- Manage procurement processes for all building services, negotiate service maintenance contracts, manage work orders.
- Provide expenditure and performance data to be included in regular monthly and quarterly client reporting meetings,
- Actively maintain compliance with OH&S obligations, completing inspections, audits and reviews as required by the client and the relevant legislation
**Qualifications**:
To excel in this position, you will ideally have:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills and the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders including tenants, clients and key contractors
- Good problem-solving skills and able to resolve issues quickly and autonomously ‘being proactive as well as bringing a reactive approach.
- Capable of travelling between assets
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional certifications (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of industry best practices, sustainability, and legislative compliance
- Previous experience in maintenance planning and contractor management,
- Worked in a fast-paced environment, being willing to always learn and to want to improve,
- Experience in reviewing various trade related quotations and maintenance proposals, drafting and presenting clients with requests for expenditure recommendations
