Sommelier - Junior

CATALINA is looking for a Junior Sommelier, with comprehensive experience in wine service.

You must be hard working, dedicated, pro-active and passionate about wine and wine service, and bring enthusiasm and a positive can-do attitude to the wine team. You will also need be adaptable, thrive in a very busy environment with a constantly changing wine list, and be willing and able to follow instructions from the Head Sommelier, Assistant Head Sommeliers and Managers.

**The position**:

- providing the highest level of specialised wine service to restaurant patrons including greeting patrons, presenting them with the beverage and wine lists, recommending beverages and wines, taking beverage and wine orders, serving wine, clearing tables
- assisting the Head Sommelier and Assistant Head Sommeliers with stock control
- contributing new ideas to a developing wine list and wine programme

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III Qualification and/or at least 18-24 months experience as a Sommelier
- Current NSW RSA
- Excellent English verbal skills
- Full working rights in Australia
- Positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- A valid driver's license.

The restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, and is busy all year round.

This position offers full time hours, and you must be available to work on weekends.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $70,005.00 per year
