**About the role**
As a Support Worker in our team, you will be supported to work beside youth to build their capacity with daily living skills, assist with social and recreational activities, implement and monitor practices that promote a healthier lifestyle, and empower participants to help them achieve their goals.
The role will involve working with participants (youth) with complex needs, mental health, and behaviours. Some may need assistance with medication prompts, full comprehension of PBSP, Mental health experience, and more. Experience and professionalism are expected, with demonstrated evidence required.
You will be required to work either in the participant's home, in the community or in one of Calm Tree's Supported Independent Living properties.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide person-centered support to clients with complex and/or challenging needs
- Work with complex participant with Positive behaviour support plans (PBSP) and Restricted Practices (RP)
- Provide transportation support to take participant to appointments, social and community participations so a reliable vehicle will be required.
- Build rapport and collaborate effectively with the participants, their families, friends and care team to achieve positive outcomes
- Be a mentor and encourage individuals to learn and undertake daily living tasks
- Provide personal care and assistance with personal and domestic activities
- Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
**Salary**: $40.00+ per hour plus where applicable, penalty rates and allowances.
