**About the role**:
Role accountabilities include:

- Prepare strategies, master plans, management plans, site plans and policies that will guide the management and development of the City’s open spaces.
- Administer Public Spaces By-Law permits, determine conditions for permits that ensure protection of City assets.
- Work with the Property Officer to administer leases and licences located in council reserves.
- Prepare contract documentation, facilitate consultant procurement and manage consultants for open space planning projects.
- Prepare and manage budgets and maintain business management, reporting and administrative systems.
- Other tasks and duties that are within the scope of the employee's knowledge, skill, competence and training.

**About you**:
You will have tertiary qualifications relevant to the management of natural areas or parks, and/or recreational planning coupled with demonstrated experience in the management and planning of parks and public open space.
