About the RACGP
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the voice of general practitioners (GPs) in our growing cities and throughout rural and remote Australia. For more than 60 years, we’ve supported the backbone of Australia’s health system by setting the standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.
We foster the future of general practice through our profession-led, community-based training model for the Australian General Practice Training Program and other training pathways. We train GPs to deliver quality, whole-person care to patients across Australia, support their ongoing professional development and provide a point of connection for GPs serving communities in every corner of the country.
About you
As our Registrar Liaison Officer, you’ll possess experience in general practice performance assessment and education/training development, whilst having exposure to the development of educational content. To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
experience in the general practice environment (currently employed)
strong communication and advocacy skills
passion for assisting registrars and GP training
good working knowledge of requirements for the AGPT program
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you’ll collaborate with regional and local teams, the Practice Manager Liaison Officer and the Supervisor Liaison Officer as well as with management to carry out GP training. In addition, you’ll:
advocate for the individual and collective needs of GP registrars participating in the RACGP training programs.
**support medical education**: module curation, updates, and additions. Answer questions from members, staff, participants, and training organisations relating to the educational materials. Revise and update any guides, training material relevant to the learning units. Participate in the updating and evaluation of learning resources.
provide day to day questions relating to any medical education aspects of the program.
work with management to inform quality improvements relevant to the practice environment.
