Want to see your gardening career bloom? Consider a horticulture traineeship through Maxima and the City of Fremantle.
Maxima, in partnership with the City of Fremantle, have an opportunity available for a green thumb to kickstart their pathway within Local Government and horticulture.
This 24 month traineeship allows you to get hands-on industry experience, off-the-job study towards a nationally recognised
**Certificate III in Horticulture** and support from a knowledgeable supervisor and dedicated Maxima Consultant.
Day-to-day assist to maintain local community parks and streetscapes and be involved in some of Fremantle’s large scale horticultural projects.

**Duties Include**:
- General garden and grounds maintenance
- Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
- Brush cutting and mowing
- Pest and weed control
- Install irrigation pipes and watering systems
**About You**:
- Love working hands-on
- Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable
- Positive approach and willingness to learn
- Hardworking and takes initiative
- Thrives working in team environments and independently
**Role Requirements**:
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar trade (desirable)
