**Job Goal**:
The Frame & Truss Teamlead is responsible for day-to-day plant operation and manufacture of timber wall frames and roof trusses to meet production targets and customer requirements.

**General Responsibilities / Key Result Areas (KRA’s)**:

- Supervises daily running of production, providing direction, supervision and support for completion of tasks as required.
- A portion of the Frame and Truss Teamleads daily duties will involve physical hands on work manufacturing frames and trusses.
- Ensures all activities within production support quality, safety, service and output targets.
- Achieving weekly and monthly production targets is of utmost importance.
- Works to achieve operational efficiencies.
- Identifies production bottlenecks and recommends/implements new procedures for improvement.
- Maintains strong communication with frame and truss yardsman to ensure steady flow of inward raw material and outward finished product.
- Advises manager on staffing and training and development needs, providing reports on daily, weekly basis as required.
- Liaises with the manager to ensure adequate team members to meet production timetables.
- Ensures continuity of production during periods of staff member annual leave and personal leave.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.

- Recommends ways to minimise expenditure and waste.
- Personally complies and ensures that all safety regulations and procedures are followed on a regular basis, and that the production area is safe and clean at all times.
- Ensures that all assigned team members are working in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
- Takes responsibility for own performance and development; acts with integrity. Demonstrates a level of urgency in getting things done, and willingness to meet expectations.
- Assists on other related duties as requested.

**Technical Expertise / Education Required**:

- Previous experience in managing and building teams of people in a production role highly desirable.
- Knowledge and familiarity of frame and truss manufacturing equipment essential.
- Timber frame and Truss experience essential.
- Well-developed communication and people management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and understanding of WHS legislation.
- The ability to work unsupervised.
- _Certificate III in Timber Truss and Frame Manufacture_ highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of internal control procedures, time management and workload efficiency techniques.
- Knowledge of office365 and spreadsheet software valued.
